Default ISO Advice

Hi all - planning to install my new Sony MEX-1GP stereo into my Tavia, and have a couple of queries prior to plugging it in.

I have read some threads here regarding this, but wanted to make sure I have it right.

This is the ISO connector on the Sony Adapter I have

1, 2 and 3 have no pins or connections. Ross-Tech mentions that pin 3 is what usually holds the K-Line, is this correct? If so does that mean mine will be okay as it's blank?

Also I've read people have problems with memory storing on aftermarket HU's and to swap the red/yellow connectors - is this just as simple as plugging the yellow into the red and vice versa?

On the ISO:

4 is yellow which is Continuous Power ( has twin bullet connections - one spare)
7 is Red which is Switched Power (has single bullet connector connection)

Can I just plug the red into the spare yellow connector? Or do I have to physically swap them over individually (yellow to red and red to yellow)

Thanks in advance!

Physically swap them over, so the cable will go RED>YELLOW on one, and YELLOW>RED on the other.

Excellent thanks - that's what I've done

Can anyone advise on the K-Line issue?

Anyone advise - I plan to fit my stereo tomorrow

Basically this is the diagram on Ross Tech, pin 3 needed to be removed (as arrowed) - mine (as my pic above) doesn't have a pin here - does this mean VAG COM etc will be okay with mine?
