| Started a new thread for this as didn't want to clog up the database thread with a basic question. Have been looking to buy a Talex lite due to nothing but cracking reviews, free lifetime subscription and bargain price. Company then became Novus and the lite became the Delta. After reading bits of the other thread is the Delta now not as high quality product as the Lite and its database was? Or have 'teething'issues now been sorted. £80 INC lifetime subs is still a bargain IMO but don't want to buy if this is not now considered to be the same standard? ![]() |

| I don't have a Delta, but do have an Alpha (Branded as a Talex Elite) So far, after the initial teething problems everything has been fine with the database on the alpha. in the last 1200 miles or so, Cheshire to cardiff via A road and back, Cheshire to Nottingham via M6 - A50 and back again it's been fine and all fixed sites have been picked up. the thing for me is that even if it's classed by some as inferior, I will shove wasps up my **** before I buy anything from the new talex owners and if the Novus ever became ineffective, I would go to Road Angel. |

| i gave up with the elite/delta when the updates never surfaced. found it to be a pain in the rear end to update. as much as i liked the count down markers for mobiles on the elite/delta i have gone back to the talex full fat and lite. |

| Cheers Fluff. In peoples personal opinions then, will I be getting a superior product with a second-hand Talex full-fat or lite from the 'bay than a new Novus delta? |

| My talex lite gave up the ghost yesterday, put it in the bin. Having taken all that has been said into account I have ordered myself the Novus Delta. I am told it is exactly the same as the lite but with a different logo.Is that so? I have been running on novus updates from January and am quite happy with the data. |

| I can't say it's 100% the same, but it will be very very very similar.

my new Novus Delta has arrived. The preloaded Data appears to be from 2006. I tried to go into novus Web site to download v8043, whoops no web page. I am really miffed .hope I am not left with £69.99's worth of --------. I also tried the download facility available on a number of Novus retail sites but they are also dead presume they are just links. ....................... Have now successfully downloaded v8043 Last edited by feliciafriend; 18-04-2008 at 13:25. | |
