yeah but this device is more expensive than others out there and I paid extra for it BECAUSE it allowed me to keep the CD changer

I presume because the HU only has 6 buttons on the interface that you can only use 6 folders? By my thinking that means I am no better off than having the CD changer, ie I have moved from having 6 CDs to 6 folders of MP3 files?

Yep, that's true.

It's sad that these products aren't very quality one's. But hey quality doesn't come cheap sadly

Sorry to hear it doesn't work with the cd-changer.
