I'm just wondering if anyones got any pictures of upgrated headunits (double din if possible), boot build and upgraded speaker locations for the Octy II. Its just to give me an idea for when I start mine. Thanks in advance Dave

I hope the pics work - this is my setup, Alpine W202r with JL Audio W10 sub (i think it's a 10) The boot floor is raised by about 2" now and under it resides a JL Audio amp (i forget the model) that powers the sub & front comps. ![]() ![]() I don't have any pics handy of the comps or amp, sorry ![]() MPM ![]()

I had it done by a place in Bromsgrove, they have done a very tidy job, apart from the raised boot floor i haven't lost much if any boot space. The sub is in a fiberglass enclosure backing onto the original interior, so should i want to take the sub out & go back to having the cubby hole, i can ![]() Sound quality is very good, i didn't appreciate the difference in quality between factory speakers & aftermarket comps until i faded to the rear speakers at high volume once! My only gripe about the setup is that the HU doesn't really 'fit', i hope to redo the fascia surround to make it look a little less "not meant to be here", when viewed close up. If you want more detailed pics i can take them and upload them. MPM ![]()

| MPM, visit your local dealer. For not very much money you can get a skoda facia adaptor for normal double din HU's that fits and looks more OEM than the autoleads one currently fitted.

MPM That looks very neat and something like how I'm going to do mine. What headunit have you got in, can't quite make it out? And have you added an auto changer? Thanks for the help Dave

HU is an Alpine W202R Click me for details ![]() with the navigation unit attached Click me for details ![]() and my ipod plugged in. (not gona put a piccy of that up )The amp in the boot is one of these and the sub is one of these. The amp is huge but fits nicely ![]() I was going to go the autochanger route, however i don't regret taking the ipod option. Much easier and more versatile - it does have a habit of hissing at the higher volumes on quiet tunes though ![]() MPM ![]()

I did a similar build in my old Leon FR and was tempted to do the same in the Octy hatch as they are relatively easy to do and you don't loose out on boot space. It's best to do them in summer though so the fibreglass resin doesn't take an age to cure! Here's some of my old pics. Sorry I know it's not the same car but the theory would be the same. I'd be tempted to do the other side so I wouldn't loose out on the CD changer cubby hole. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
