Unhappy Pioneer active sub wiring

I wonder if anyone out there can help?

I've just bought (second hand) a PIONEER TS-WX20LPA active sub. On delivery I've found that the 6 pin power connector has simply been hacked off and is now useless. Any ideas where i can get a replacement from? It looks like its pioneer specific & I've looked at the pioneer website but there are no listing of spares. I've attached a couple of graphics so you can see what I'm after....Any advice appreciated

The only thing I can suggest is you contact a Pioneer dealer/service centre near you.

http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/content/...t/service.html

They should be able to help because it's highly likely to be used on several models of active sub.

SWMBO has a Pioneer sub in her car and it uses the same lead as that by the looks of it.

Is it 6 wires which go into the lead? For earth, power and remote? Its just you might be able to provide its own earth/power & remote using an RCA lead and own power from battery and earth somewhere in the boot? As a last resprt of course.

If it was an Ebay purchase and it wasn't sold as having been butchered a bit, have a go at the seller.

That connector is of a standard type, and you should be able to get it from RS components.

However, as the cables which plug into it have fuse holders at the other end, I'd try Pioneer. In the past, they've been very helpful with some of my enquiries - even posted out the schematic layout for a very old EQ I had so I could figure out the pinouts for certain leads. Very helpful

I can ask a friend of mine who works there. See what he says.

Yes it was an ebay purchase...how did you guess?...I should have learned by now! Already sent a suitable p***ed off email to the guy but surprise, no reply has been forthcoming. Thanks for your input....

All it does is provide a ground, a 12v supply and a power on signal from the HU.

The plug is a little white plastic affair and is quite small so the proper connection will be needed.

How exactly has it been hacked off? Have the cables been cut where they enter the male part of the connector or has the connector itself been butchered?

There are only 2 remnants of cable protruding about 2 inches out of the connector, a third very short piece of cable is trapped inside the connector. It looks like I do need a replacement one.
