| Hi all I've searched but if I'm honest I'm still confused. I've got a 2002 vrs and I've just got a MFD D. I put it all together with a plug and play cable, turned it on and put the supplied code in and it said the code was wrong. So I contacted the guy who sold it to me and he said that the safe pin was probably not connected as the code was definately correct. So I took it all apart and checked the safe wire, which IS powered by the P n P cable. But it still won't accept the code. Do I have to switch any wires or should the plug and play cable take care of any wiring issues? If there are no wiring issues I guess it's a code problem, any advice will be wholeheartedly welcome. |

| careful if you get it wrong I think 3 times you have to take it to a dealer or something. Try speaking to VRStu, who should be able to help there.

| I think your best option is to go to a dealer and ask them to get you a code - unless you want to send it back. Certainly sounds to me as if the code is wrong.

| Right, I sent the unit back to the seller and bought another one from a UK seller. Went to his house and said that if it didn't work straight away I would'nt buy it. Connected it to my original wiring, put the code in and sorted one working MFD. So I was right all along it wasn't my wiring .I need to check a couple of things with you lot now though?! What number is the Gala setting supposed to be? It is currently set to 48 and the tyre size is 1355. I take it these aren't the sizes I should have?! What should they be for a 2002 Octavia VRS? |
