Question for Phatbox Users...

Is there any easy way to have the box play in shuffle mode across ALL discs/playlists?

Sorry if this is an easy one but I've only had it in a week, and not found a way to do it so far.

Shuffle mode doesn't seem to work for me IIRC, tried it ages ago and it wouldn't do it so I just gave up.

Worked it out actually, cheers Eddy. It's in the settings menu (on button 6) then option 9 IIRC. Was sitting waiting for SWMBO at the station on Sat night and found the option

Then when you're in playlist mode for example, hitting the Symphony's shuffle button causes the Phatbox to play tracks from across the playlists. Nice one

See if that works for you - could you not get it to work in either the Ibiza or the Octavia?

Only tried it once in the Octavia by using the method you mention but I didn't press the shuffle button just went through the options thing. Does it only work across playlists or will it work across 'discs'?

It was my understanding that 'discs' were the same as playlists

I'm sure the very helpful American voice said that it would work in any of the active playback modes. You'd have to listen to the description on option 9 again as I can't be sure.

Yeah, Crystal told me it would work but it didn't, I'll try it again sometime.

I had selected that I had the Symphony single CD type headunit just before I tried the Option 9, not sure if that had any bearing? I'd had the unit in a week before I told it which headunit I used, and everything else seemed to work fine anyway before then....
