| erm i would have thought yousr best bet would to have a cliford alarm fitted by a pro with the intelistart (it is great for those eirly mornings) i dont think it is posible to do it with the oem alarm but the cliford would be better amd maby bring your insurance down as well but not a cheep alarm. |

| Is it even possible, the ECU will not run without the key in close proximity of the immobilser transponder. Adding another alarm will do little if anything to the premium because the OEM already meets the appropriate thatcham classification, although adding a remote start if possible would invalidate all that and put your premium up. Adding to this, in the UK its illegal to run a car engine without a responsible adult present.

| as far as I'm aware, remote starts invalidate the Thatcham rating, as do proximity sensors which trigger the alarm (not warning ones though) |
