| I'm going to be moving soon due to a new job and the amount of time I spend in the car is now ICE upgrade worthy. I would want to probably spend around £600, which will have to include installation by a professional as I'm very likely to do a bad job of it so would rather it done right. What should I be looking at asking for in the install? I have the back seat out and the boot in use as I carry my mountain bike in the car a lot, so I don't see any subs going in there, bar maybe a wheel well one? I was thinking along the lines of HU - £250 16.5cm - £150 Labour - £100? Then do I need rear speakers at all, and do most 16.5cm come with tweeters? And at what point is a amp a good idea? Thanks for any ideas, I've never really installed any ICE before as most of the cars I've bought the previous owners had done some good work on it. |

| Bump up the labour mate. You're talking £50 an hour and most likely half a day as dynamatting and running decent cable etc makes a huge difference but takes a bit of time.

| If your just going to fit a headunit and upgrade the speakers you'll be able to do it yourself. It's pretty easy. |

| The MK I octy can only take shallow speakers and the whole area behind it needs to stay sealed or you can get a very wet car ![]()
