Saw a superb with it installed at the motorshow last year, it should be a fairly easy job. Apart from the obvious, you would need the GPS/AM/FM aerial for the roof and proberbly need to the additional wiring to connect to the headunit.

You might try a VDub/Audi dealer although it might possible have either brand on it.

I think there a pic on Manny's site of one of our Swedish brethen who has this fitted.

I have a Clarion single DIN Nav613 unit in my vRS - it was transfered from my old car to the Skoda by the dealer.
The original radio unit moves down one slot and the Nav unit goes where the radio used to be!
This is because the Clarion unit is motorised and works better in the top slot (so that you dont cover up the radio controls) - on the Skoda it also avoids you banging your knuckles on the Sat Nav screen when you change gear.

That looks awesome! Can these units be removed/disabled as well? Cos it does stick out as a sore thumb a bit...

I think you could pick up a 2003 road map for about £1.99 - might save a bit of money

that would be dangerous though... you can get done for attempting to use hand held devices on the move...

Slightly O/T but have a look at the switches (ASR, demist) in the stealth mode piccie that steveredvrs has supplied. Does everyone elses switches look that perfect? Mine are all higgledy piggledy and infact don't look unlike a set of 'Billy Bob Teeth' minus the decay of course....

Steve,

I had the similar system in my last car with a seperate screen.(which I removed when I sold the car) & I was going to have it fitted to my vRS but when I spoke to hthe supplying dealer he said I needed a "Speed Pulse Generator" which was £250 !!

Do you know if you had to have one or is the dealer either a) Bullshi**ing or b) not got a clue ??

Regarding the speed pulse generator.
The dealer told me exactly the same thing and that it would cost £150.
Luckily I do some business with Clarion and have contacts in Clarion UK. They confirmed in writing that you do not need a speed generator or CAN interface - as there is a speed signal on one of the ISO connector pins that feeds the radio.
This is because the speed signal goes into the radio so that it can automatically adjust the volume according to your vehicle speed!!!
As an added bonus, the fax I received from Clarion UK (which I sent to the dealer) stated that they run a vRS and a Seat Leon Cupra in their fleet!!!
The dealer had no choice but to reduce my bill by £150 (and then blamed the installer for trying to charge this!!!)
