| I have a 2001 Octavia Elegance model with the 6-CD changer in the boot. I want to unplug the CD changer lead at the head unit and wire/plug in an AUX lead for my MP3 Player. It's a Grundig Symphony unit. What do I need? Where can I buy the blue plug so I can make my own wire up?! Last edited by ConorM; 17-05-2008 at 17:54. |

| Looks like a similar product (though not as neat if you don't mind me saying). "whats the best mp3 player for the symphony HU" is surely the same question as whats the best mp3 player = personal preference. I love the iPod for ease of use myself : ) |

| Quick update. I ordered the adapter a8 tech posted, but the guy messed me about and it never adrrivied, don't buy anything off locostcaraudio! I'm going to try and get the adapter from that Polish crowd instead, see if they can do a better job than that muppet. |

| have you got a wire diagram on top of the stereo? if so look for AUX and see if you have any pins on the back of the stereo for AUx and simply make your own lead and keep your 6 cd player. |

Yep, same here. Barely any communication, said he sent the item twice. Finally said that it was lost in the post, but this story changed by the time he left feedback... "Item delivered to neighbour but by courier but lost???????????????????????" Yeah right. My postie ALWAYS leaves parcels at the village PO as we are only a couple hundred metres away! Item was sent by RM special delivery so I would have to sign it... Anyway, I'll be trying another seller now.

That was my initial thought. But I don't know which sockets in the block are the correct L/R and earth connections. Brings me back to my original plan- buy one of those connector blocks and simply attach the three wires from a stereo line-out cable. Is this what you did? Does it work? Need to get something sorted in the next week or so as I'm road tripping to the Alps.

| Anybody know any other sources for an AUX adapter for the Grundig Symphony unit??? Only found one on Ebay, Connects2 CTVSKX001 for £41!!! Unfortunately I've not got the time or knowledge to try and make my own connector. Maybe I'm better off buying an FM transmitter for the road trip (see, I've also got a Van, and would like to use my MP3 Playing it it as well..) and try and make my own connector when I come back from France??!! PS: A8, did yours ever turn up? Last edited by ConorM; 22-06-2008 at 21:02. |

| ive only just remembered about this, i havent had time to look this up anymore. i think its the AFL +AFR on the blue block and then find an earth (not sure off hand which it be, but will be on the blue block) this is only a good guess not a guarentee (covering my *** in case) if you can find someone who has already added an aux in to the stereo you will then know which wires to attache where. |

How does it work if you don't have cdc installed? Doesn't the HU recognize that there's no CDC connected and change back to previous working source automatically?
