i would hope for the same results which would give me fair bit more torque and power and quicker spool. the down side to the eliminators is the stock housing which affects the spool and performance, but a great idea from ATP on the other hand!

as i said before i am looking for a bit more power, quicker spool, and neater install for when i may have to remove things in the future. and once i sell the old parts i remove i havnt made that much a loss on the total price which is a very good one might i add!

eddyH, i looked in to the equal length mani and yes i could do with a custom map, but then that would cost near the same as what this whole kit is costing me.

so back on topic, delcac what engine did you install your kit for mate?
I personally think the equal length mani and custom map are worth the extra, even more so with a proper kit. Have you spoke to IP about mapping?

Delcac has a Mk1 Octy vRS, the 1.4/1.5 stuff is a forum joke and was a little unfair given you're new here.

lol, when i read that inc the BT joke i though it was a little optimistic.

the revo map was a custom map at the start, but after the FMIC and all the mods its way off now so would require another one, a equal length manifold would also be a great idea over the atp mani but i cant justify the cost for the mani alone.

delcac would it be possible to post a pic of
the inlet
round the back to see the mani turbo and dp
and how you have routed the oil feed from the oil filter housing area to the turbo.

cheers

Sorry m8!!.......I should have come clean earlier.

I've got a GT2871 type 2 turbo, diff to stock. All bolted to a 1.8T at the moment but all that's changing shortly. It's not worth looking under the hood or pics as it's not the same as Mike's kit, lots more going on. Mike has got an equall lenth mani but he is out of stock at the mo, all I can say it will be well worth having.

The oil feed is a SS breaded hose from the oil filter round under the intake to the turbo, nothing new there. The intake is an ABD racing pipe from filter to maf housing and then linked to turbo with 2 silicon hoses and a mandril bend pipe, 3" all the way.

cool i take it when you say type 2 you mean this turbo TurboByGarrett.com - Catalog

with the inlet does it have all the nipples for the dv pcv and vacs?

did the shifter cables or hard water pipe get in your way?

what changes are you making to your car?

Yep, all T offs welded to intake and nothing got in the way.

As for my car, basically a new 2LT engine and turbo setup.

It's a new engine not a new turbo, the one I have is just fine..........for the mo. The setup will change drastically as turbo will sit differantly in the bay. Really don't know what the engine will be like untill I see it, not prepared to say any more for now but it should be umm, interesting.

The turbo is as you linked to above.
