PS: Forza and GT4 cannot prepare you for the real thing. All it can really tell you is whether a left and right is coming - beyond that - totally different ball game. (coming from someone who learned the track very well on GT4 )

Another thing to consider is your car insurance. Please read the SMALL print and make sure that the ring is not excluded from your policy either by name, or by use of the term "De-restricted toll road". If your policy mentions either of these as an exclusion, then whilst you are on track your policy will be void and it could become very expensive if you crash or are crashed into.

Struggling with the new proposed dates but will confirm either way when they are set in stone .

Quick query regarding the above post, does this mean that non standard items such as Jabba rear ARB and Miltek exhaust require a TUV cert.

yhey won't bother you andy,if your car looks like a stripped out racing car with uk plates on they will check,they won't bother with what is obviosly a new road car on genuine uk plates

Hi! Been away form the site since I joined thru' one reason and another, and just caught this thread!

I've booked up to go out on the 3rd May, early doors, to be there for afternoon sesh Saturday, all day sunday then leaving for ferry on the Monday morning 5th May. Staying at Sliders guesthouse in Adenau. SpeedFerries is just over £70 Dover route.

I guess i'll miss the exodus as I read it the plan is for the 10th and 11th?

Never been before and can't wait! Looks like it'll just be me and a co-pilot then

Sliders guest house is not located in Adenau, so dont go there trying to locate it. Its actually locaed in Dollendorf.

I have been three times now and its one of those MUST things to do.
Just about got my new VRS back on the road and am planning a small group trip early 2008 - does anyone have any incling of the Nordshleif open dates yet (usually announced Feb?).

OK - Looks like we have the accommodation pretty cheap. CP are doing a special deal over the 11/12 weekend in May - 8 man cabin for 4 nights (friday 9th to Monday 12th inclusive) for 759 euros. Now I make that about 90 euros per person for an 8 berth, which is a little over £60. For FOUR nights! Almost tempted to travel on the friday now and make a full long weekend out of it. Anyone else fancy doing a 3-day'er? Saturday can be spent walking around the track, and the small 1.5 hour saturday session could be spent on familiarisation laps?

Have decided not to bother with the extra day on the friday. It just means the cabins are booked for 4 nights, but we only occupy for three.

I'm going to lock this thread now (assuming I can lock my own thread) as I've put more details up in a new thread.

Looks like I can't lock it - must just be for threads in the for sale section.... If a kind mod looks at this thread, please do the honours.
