| You don't require the extinguisher for Germany. I did fit one to mine when visiting Belgium, and there is a how to for the Octy II (probably similar for other skoda cars) on how to fit the skoda one in the tech guides are. EDIT: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/techn...her-how/97083/ Linked to the how to.

| I was also thinking that Speedo's might be the last thing I try and source... Cheezemonkhai - so the extinguisher goes underneath the driver's seat? I can't see that being particularly easy to get to in the Fabia, if I have to mount one I might try in the passenger footwell?

| The extinguisher has to be with in reach of the driver. Eg in the cabin I put mine under the drivers seat as I didn't want to lose the storage under the passenger seat (for storing the high vis jackets ) The vague instructions I have were for a LHD where the picture shows it under the drivers seat. With it under my seat it is much easier to get at that it would be if under the passenger seat and there is plenty of room to get to it should you need to use it. You could mount it under the passenger seat if you wanted. If you look at the last image in that thread you will see that the piece of plastic trip at the front of the seat if removed to fit the thing, and it' pulls out forward. If anyone is at WSM or maybe JKM you're welcome to have a look at it.

| I am still in the process of selecting the hotels, problems have arose in that it is out of the ski season/ minimum stays/ single sex group/ hotels too full to find 4 rooms etc etc for these reasons I am using a tour operator and once all the hotels are sourced I will book them and put them up on the thread. (6 locations have been sorted with choices of hotels, but the actual hotel chosen will depend on final two locations budget) If you are wanting to go on your own let me know now because at the moment I am looking to book triple and single rooms due to odd numbers. If you are planning on going with someone Then when you have the cash either give me a shout and I will ask the operator if there is an extra room available at the time, otherwise you will have to book individual hotels yourself and find alternatives for the hotels that are fully booked. I would add that one of our problems as allready been finding places with enough vacant accomodation. At the moment there are five cars on the trip.

| Just a quick update on accomodation Nimes, Cannes, Bolzano, Zell am See, Found a good shortlist of hotels that together come in on Budget, all are B&B, At the moment there is looking like there will be a daily parking charge of around 14 Euros in Cannes and Bolzano (Hotels with free parking are much much dearer )The choices for the hotels in Gap and Sion are much more limited due to the size of the towns and most seem to be a long way outside or Vexpensive, The favorit option at the moment looks like an Ibis hotel in these locations. Davos as also prooved to be a bit of a pain again with very litlle choice, and the hotel closest to our budget is still a tad expensive, if the budget allows after finalising the other resorts I will opt for this dearer option, else we may stay in Chur, giving a slightly shorter day 6 and longer day 7, I hope to avoid this tho as day 7 is Stelvio pass day. Cochem is looking less and less likely as our final resting place due to lack of availability/ cost, This is not such a problem, as our only real interest is to be within 1/2 hours drive of Nurburgring ![]() Andrew
