Received a complete list of hotels now, and a list of favorites added to first post, I will be booking these all being well tomorrow. It as meant adding a little driving time and a bit of jigging with itinerary, added to original thread Final cost is looking to be £370 ish BUT there will be some parking charges in some locations. I will try to reserve parking when I book but can't guarentee.

Much that I would love to join you, SWMBO finds the idea sat in a car for a fortnight intollerable but I wish all of you a great trip

Cheer Steve, the organisation as been a bit of a roller coaster, but no doubt nothing you didn't experiance with the Prague trip, just hoping the weather is good and the roads empty

It is a shame you won't be joining us, I am sure Mrs. Fish would have loved it had you persuaded her, I don't think the driving will be quite as extensive as it appears but will of course depend on traffic. Sure we will post lots of pictures to wet your appetite for next year

There is a lot of driving on the first day when we arrive in France so I've decided to book into a Travel lodge in Gillingham, just wondering if anyone is staying nearby the day before?

I mentioned walkie talkies to Pat t'other day - he said they were rubbish on the Prague trip? Still, at £50 for a pair of decent Motorola ones it might be worth a try?

Might have been me and Tigger that didn't know how to use them properly but all we seemed to get was folk talking Cz Shame really might have been usefull when we got lost for 5 hours (WILL)

Ah, I assumed it was naff range or quality - not crosstalk! They have about 8 or 9 frequencies to choose from I think, so you should be able to find a quiet channel?
