I am liking the look of that airfield, should be good for a laugh!. We are provisionally booked in to the Museum/Factory tour at 11:00am which lasts about three hours, by the time we've had a bite to eat and bought any goodies from the shop I guess we will be finished there by 3:00pm so perfect timing for a run out to that airfield for a little blast me thinks

Looks like there's little bits off to the side to explore as well. Could be like a informal trackday.

I think it'd be much more fun to hand that Ł150 to someone for fuel plus the banter would be better too!

If we went over in the ferry we could even sing ' the wheels on the ferry go round and round '

Sorry if its been posted already, but just wondered how many miles it is from Calais to Prague? The AA routeplanner doesn't seem to cover the Czech Republic.

It's around 550 miles.

Hi Steve - How do we book the hotel? Do we follow that link in your post? I'll have booked the ferry in couple of days, but not sure on the hotel....?

Edit: I don't see a mention of twin rooms as opposed to double? Would be a good way of spreading vosts - 108 euros a night is a fair old chunk.

I phoned earlier and yes they do have twin rooms but it might be easier to make your booking over the telephone. There is a UK telephone line which can probably help organise your booking for you, the number is 08706 090961.

I think there will be a few people going that wouldn't mind sharing with you Jason, I'm sure the smell ain't that bad , try talking to Des or maybe Leon, they may be willing to share?.

Has anyone booked a room yet?, if not I have just been looking at the apartments that Gaff stayed in recently and they look like terific value if we get a group sharing. I would be happy to book one of the three bed apartments (which can accomodate up to twelve people) and allocate spaces on a first come first serve basis. Only thing I have to check out is car parking availability!.

What do you think of these apartments or something similar?. (Iwish I had read Gaff's post properly earlier!).

Please respond either here or via a PM to me those that are seriously thinking of coming as I intend to book up this weekend.

Edit: found this one for 847 EUR, even if there is only 10 of us sharing that works out at around £80 each!
"1x - 4-bedroom apartment (140 m2) is suitable for up to 15 persons, has four bedrooms (2 double beds, 8 single beds, others on request), living room (sofa, dining table with 4 chairs, TV), kitchen (electrical stove, fridge/freezer), 2 bathrooms (bathtub + shower corner, WC, wash-basin )", critically it has parking too at 20 EUR extra per night.
