The few Czechs i know are always complaining about the amount of Chinese moving there, so Phillipino's might be the next step

Just had an email of a Czech bloke I wrote to asking for details of the 2004 tour and apparently the UK owners club are gonna get in touch with me, so if anyone is interested let me know and I'll pass on any details.

Had a quick look at ferry prices to Demark today.

Was really impressed that they were only £40 each way until I read that it was compulsory to have a cabin and these were £158 each way.

Price I got for travelling next June was £477 return for two of us with the Fabia - that was sailing from Harwich to Esbjerg (which is west of Copenhagen).

Anyone fancy driving all the way?

I'd make a point of driving all the way.

Best bet is to get a eurotunnel at an off-peak time when they're quite cheap. - I'd love to have a crack at more EU driving after my little stint to Germany before.

I did France this year through the tunnel and was amazed how much less hassle it was than the ferry.

Loads of Skodas in France, also noticed they don't have VW or Skoda or Audi dealers thay are all just VAG dealers.

Not found that to be the case where Ive been - a lot do in Prauge - outside of there and you tend to be the your on your own. If you can speak German you will be able to comunicate. Although Czech people are not too enamered by Germans unfortunately. A good phrase to learn is "I am not German Im English" - it does help.
Sunday and Ill be there again - not far from Vrchlabi

John,

I've always been told the language barrier would not be a problem, but admittedly the limited number of Czech's i know speak english, so they would say that wouldn't they ? lol

As for the anti-German sentiment, i know about this already, i've had many hours of fun playing Fawlty Towers soundbites down the phone..

"Don't mention the war !" etc

Enjoy your trip

As soon as I get anything back off the Skoda owners clubs I'll let everyone know.

If you're interested email or PM me then I have a record of who to send the details to.

Unless ColinD is happy for me to post all the stuff on here.

Just joined Briskoda so know nothing about Brits going on Skoda tours in Europe. Noticed you mentioned Holland. When and where was it, is it, will it be ??

My wife and I normally spend our annual hols visiting friends all over Holland.
Perhaps we could include the tour in our schedule.

Info please.

There is no schedule at the moment for Holland, its not been held in Holland before although it has been mentioned in previous years that one might be held there. People from the Holland Club do attend other International venues.
