Default Another New Fabia vRS Owner

Hi everyone, just found this site and it's got loads of good info. I'll be collecting my Red Fabia vRS on Friday (ex demo, 04 plate with 6k miles) and after the test drive I can't wait. This will be my first diesel car. I was wary about going from my Golf VR6 to a turbo diesel but the test drive dispelled them all. Looking forward to getting over 50 mpg as the VR6 isn't exactly efficient when it comes to fuel consumption.

Welcome to Briskoda, and let us know how the 2 cars compare once you have put some miles away in the new one.

Welcome! When you get better than 50mpg, please be sure to let all us other Fabia vRS owners know how you did it!

*Just kidding!*

I'm currently running at 48.7mpg after 5200 miles with the close ratio version...

hehe, after getting 21.2mpg out of my VR6 this morning on my journey to work (got to love traffic) I'll be happy with anything over 30mpg.
Thanks for all the welcomes everyone.
I'll probably do a comparison after I've covered a few k miles in the vRS. It's actually a 54 plate, not an 04 plate as I stated in my first post.
