Hi and greetins from Finland!

Just like anybody, the first Skoda these days can change your opinion about cars. Last month you stand behind your old trusty "what_ever", and now you have totally opened your eyes.

Octavia Combi 1.8t -04 was available while my old Honda was turning brown because of the rust. I was in a hurry to get a new car and tried a 1.8t Passat. Too expensive, and I didn't like the long movement of the clutch pedal. Friend told me to try Octavia if I'm not too picky with the wheel noise. Well, I tried it and I like it. A lot. Now I have one.

Am I overall happy with it? Not really... one thing is bothering me.

When starting the cold engine and trying get moving, it acts funny. Like the turbo is trying to take revs, but almost immediately it looses the pressure and move like any N/A car. And it moves shakily for the first few minutes. This is getting worse every day.

Car has 100k km and it's in nice shape. Any tips are welcome, I'm new with this car, but technically ready for almost anything. Well, what can you do without ODB-reader these days, I don't have one yet.

Thanks!

Cheers,
Kari

Hiya.
This sounds like you've got a well-known issue. Check the blue "sticky" posts at the top of the Skoda Support > Octavia category.
