Now when you say dump valve do you actually mean a diverter valve as per standard or a Blow Off Valve a la Scooby? BOVs have been fitted to Octavias but will cause CEL light to come on if car is remapped. I assume the reasoning for a BOV is the sound...get a piston type diverter valve (Forge dv007/Bailey dv30) or the new Forge Optimus diaphragm one and a CAI....should get the "psstsh" then.

| Hi and welcome. Lots of us have changed the original DV for one which should last longer.

| ummmm..thanks for the info...ive been reading how a bailey dv30 BOV can actually help the life of the turbo...not looking at remapping just yet..gotta crawl first...but jabba sport seem to reccomend the bailey ..perhaps down to the standard fit being under par for the job!!.....never heard the sound but being new to the turbo world seems a cheap novelty add on..anybody got a sound clip of the "psssttt"??..and hey looking at it you can always put the origional back on! |

| Put the DV (and I meen Dump valve) on the cold side of turbo and CEL will not come on as the MAF is not losing metered air. IMHO I don't think this helps your performance, the price you pay for the noise, or use/buy a dual piston DV.
