Default Excellent, friendly forum!

Hello all,

I've just registered on the forum and been browsing for the past couple of days.

It's nice to find a knowledgable, and FRIENDLY forum, makes a change from the usual flaming that goes on! Reminds me of a popular and useful forum I used when I had my Vectra a while ago.

Anyway.......

Looking at buying a VRS very soon - finally mithered the wife into going for one instead of an A4. Cracking!

Thank you, one and all!

Yes, the name is appropriate to my profession........

I fancy a black octavia, not keen on the yellow, fancy something a bit more subtle. Saw a red one at the dealer in Bury, it was nice but I don't think i could keep it that shiny all the time. Silver is ok but getting rid of a silver car (a Mini) so fancy something different.

Those are your only four colours Lorna.

Thanks again, hope I can make a positive contri to the forum.

Black shows the dirt something chronic, if thats what you are looking to avoid... Then again, all 4 colours aren't good at hiding it - you just have to spend more care and attention clean and polishing it!

Hmmm,

We just got a new Focus in black (company car) which, like you say, shows the dirt.

I think that's what I'll got for though, just need to address my car cleaning habits.....

New Focus is ace BTW. Not that this is a Ford forum, obviously......!

Welcome & good to see another potential Octy owner, weve got 2, cracking cars

Re colours, lighter cars always show the dirt less, Silver is reputed to be the most popular car colour & if you are thinking ahead it will def be a better colour when you come to sell the car

Hmmm, you are probably right about resale value. I just don't think I can go with another silver car....... but then again if I get a black one, that'll make two black cars on the drive.

Balls to it, I'll get a yellow!
