Welcome to Briskoda. Clutch problems are not unknown in the Fabia, and in particular seem to affect the vRS after it has been tuned.

And neither will yours be, when the clutch dies and Jason rolls past sedately in his less powerful car

I had this vision of the film "Ace Ventura" when he flips and rolls his Land Rover into the parking space at the animal sanctuary.

Clutch slip not noticed yet, but get strange noise if asking too much of the clutch - so I'm careful and use revs more.

Just been for a blast in my Furby VRS and the clutch was slipping in 4th and 5 th when you hit the torque hard at 2000 - 2500 rpm. The Car is flying at the moment especially now the temperature is below freezing. I havn't noticed problem before until the recent cold mornings. I assume that's because the car is more powerful breathing in the much colder air. Compensating with higher revs solves it.

Any idea how long the clutch is likely to last on a remapped fabia? Mines now dane 22,000 miles and was revo'd at 12,000 miles. Are there any uprated clutches / flywheels available for the Furby VRs yet?

Looking for uprated clutches. We have the 240mm clutch iirc. Sachs are in the process of putting something together and should be relased soon.

21,000 miles and you all know my spec, clutch has just started slipping, as the rest high gear high torqur request. Only did it the once, have been a bit more carefull since and hasnt happened again.

Thanks Ross, can you keep us all updated on this one please. After Talking to my dealer a few weeks back about waranty claims for clutches it is a very grey area from what i can make out even on standard cars. If they know you are running 30%+ more power they will certainly not be covered

Most arent covered after about 5,000 miles. But like you say it is a grey area and really down to individual cases and customer services/dealer.

I've got AmD on the case for the clutch, they will let me know as soon as they know.

ace.

My driving style and the way I've my car setup now, the clutch very rarely slips...but it will be good to have a avenue to go down when/if it gets worse, or I go down the route to more power
AmD are only about an hours drive from me now, so that would be handy
