Thumbs up First VRS impressions....

Just took delivery of my 03 plate Silver Octavia VRS this afternoon after I finished work.

Took it for a spin around some of our fine twisty country roads (i'm in Cumbria).........two words. GOB SMACKED.

Even better....my Mrs thinks its great as well!

Definately the best car I've ever had the pleasure of driving. I hope owning the VRS for the next couple of years will be just as rewarding.

I wasn't even too horrified by the stereo (have read quite a few of the site posts on this topic!) I will be changing the front speakers soon tho..., possibly for some Alpines?

I had a Honda Accord Sport 1.8i. Great, reliable car....just nowhere near as exciting as the VRS. I'm even more glad I've made the change today, after my second time behind the wheel of the beast!

Welcome to the site. I'd definitely slap in a different head-unit first. It should make it a LOT better

I'm kicking my 1.8i S for the same reason after only 18 months. I had a '93 2.0 litre Mondy before that for 7 years and only changed because I got the feeling things were going to go wrong at 107,000 miles. Only major problem i had with that car were the bottom wishbones which is quite common. I wrongly assumed the VTEC would be at least on par with the Zetec, but alas no.
