| Although it may boil down to a matter of personal preference, in the opinion of Octy VRS owners, which is the better fuel, Shell Optimax or BP Ultra??? Both claim to be the nuts on their respective websites, so I thought i'd turn it over to the experts, you guys!!!!!! (I live within an equal distance of petrol stations selling both). VRS for two weeks and loving life, (my local Corsa boy racers have had the shock of their lives!!!!!!). |

| Been very happy with Optimax myself, although I've only had one tank full of Ultimate so probably not in a position to judge - the car still did the business.

| I've got to say Optimax.....Ulitmate is about 5p/litre more expensive and gives me less mpg. Optimax however is a little inconsistant as the additive goes off but in general I find it better.

| My two recommendations are Esso Supreme - runs well and returns 5-10% better economy, and it's cheaper than UltiMax/OptiMate and... Sainsburys Super. It's cheaper still, and it's as good as, if not better than Supreme. Little bit harder to get though. Optimax and Ultimate have never really 'done it' for me. Neither seems that great. Ultimate is good, but not as good as Supreme, and Optimax is either great or complete pap, depending on how long its been in the tanks. Certainly neither are as good value as Sainsburys' or Esso's offerings.
