Never driven a CTR although I do know that car's excellent reputation. And from all the noise made on this forum it would seem that the Fabia vRs is also an excellent car. Why not test-drive one and see what you think. In the meantime, welcome.

I think the simple answer to your questions are:-

Cheaper Ins & Better Economy ? - YES
Will You miss the ctr ? - YES initally, as the Furby is a different driving stlye to the ctr.

Advice - Test drive one first and see if you like it. ( it is not to everyones taste - but it caters for most )

You wouldn't be the first to make the change in the name of economy - a few ex-Scooby drivers on here for similar reasons!

Went to test drive a 2nd hand Fabia VRS today, not bad, not as exciting as the Type R but as a small family, it was adequate.

But the Salesman manager give me a trade in value of £6k!!!!
what a bloody joke!!

Now im going to sell it private and should get around the £8K - £8.5K.

I just believe it, the salesman try to precede with the sale as normal, how would u be funding the rest fo the car!! you must be joking u ****!!

So my idea of being a VRS owner maybe short lived!!!

If you are selling privately, why not buy privately too and save yourself the dealer's profit margin?
