Post hello from english woman driver

I ve found this in google and I drive a second hand Skoda Fabia Comfort SDI 2001 reg. but didnt get a manual with it. On reading posts I found some of you said dont bother unless for the comic value haha. So bearing that in mind, can someone tell me how the heck I work the display thing that has the miles to the gallon displayed? When its cold it tells me how cold it is....then it switches to how many miles worth of petrol I have left...and now its gone to MPG...can anyone tell me how to get it to stay on how many miles worth of petrol i have left bit? many thanks if u can, cos if u guys cant then no one can.....

Hello and welcome.

You should be able to control what is displayed using the two buttons on the end of the right hand stalk (the one that controls the windscreen wipers).

HTH.

thank u rob !!!!!!!!!
I read your reply and ran out to the car, tripped over the dog, grazed my knee and banged my head on the car door which is parked in front of the house which was a garden and now a car park.......

I was so excited I had to do it now, and lo and behold THERE WAS A LITTLE BUTTON at the end of the indicator stick which controls the clocks, mileage counter etc etc so I sat playing with it like a kid with a new toy, whilst the dog ran into next doors garden chasing her cat

To think that all these months I wondered how and why that display changed and all the time my hand must have been nudging the control key on the end of the stalk.....if I hadnt of banged my head already I would do it now hahaha.

A big serious THANK YOU

julie

Hello and Welcome to briskoda.net. I hope your head, your knee and next door's cat get better soon.

If the bang on the head killed off a few brain-cells, then this is the right place for you...

hi mathepac....

Hey Im female, gotta have some brain cells to kill off in first place right?

Didnt get the american incognito bit......was that cos I sounded daft as a brush in first place?
Although I am a clumsy bugger and did really indeed trip over my silly dog who has a penchant for lying right in front of the door

Sorry, its a bit obscure, rather like myself.

"have a nice day" = Americanism
"icognita" = smilie with shades, female poster

It'll get worse...
