| Hi there I've just bought a brand new Fabia vrs as my new daily runabout I was looking for a car with good fuel consumption and good overall speed and it hit the mark. Never owned a Skoda before. My main car is a Nissan 350Z, but it's not enormously practical in city centres, in multistory car parks or taking stuff down the tip! Hence the Skoda purchase. I bought it at a dealer - £11,500, Silver, with Cruise Control, including 12 months tax and plates and delivery. OK price? I'm saving about £1100 by my reckoning. I've promised myself I *won't* modify it (that's the job of the Nissan!) but I've seen this 'Dual system' thing - http://www.zen19051.zen.co.uk/Dualsystem.htm - which would be a nice purchase I think. Anyone have one, and do they rate it? Car arrives on 1st Sept with a 55 plate. Looking forward to it. It'll make a nice support car for the 'beast' - www.stephengrant.com/350z ![]() |

| Congrats on your purchase. I guess you'll be swapping the Nissan for an Octy VRS when they hit the market then! Welcome to Briskoda |

| Not in the slightest - Octavia is a perfectly good car, as far as I can tell. But the above statement is regrettably true ![]() |

| Dual Systems is great. Been running mine for almost 10K. No problems. Makes a big difference. If your after a remap. Have a search round the site. loads of people out there. Think Jabba is the cheapest.

| Nice choice with the furby, for a small car it has a grunty engine! Loving your Z, the rear bumper/spoiler is very nice I have been out in one with an invidia exhaust and although the sound was amazing it was VERY loud so i think you made the right choice. mmm supercharger

| Dunno, never heard of a 350zx ![]() If you meant the 350Z, it's possible - the Z weighs twice the Fab and is normally aspirated meaning you need to go through the gears to get the best out of it. The magazine test for 50-70 is usually done 'in one gear', and when stuck in one low gear, the turbo of the Fab will cover the rev range much more strongly. That said, the Z is faster point to point than most cars, and anyone telling me their Fab is faster has a whole bag of screws loose ![]() It's less likely with the 300zx, as a lot of 300zx's were turbo'd and I doubt the Fab would have outdone them 50-70, unless it was a 'lag' issue. Interesting post!! ![]() |
