Exclamation Hello, Newbie here with a VW

Hi, Just thought i'd introduce myself.
Decided to join the site as I own a VW polo and as the fabia is basically the same car underneath, I figured it'd be a good idea to join up and say hello.
The car's a 1.2 12v 65ps SE model with a few personal little touches added on. See if you can spot which one is off a skoda

And here's a pic for those who havent spotted the VRS wheels

Before I refurbed them:

And after a weeks work

Hope you like my polo and I look forwards to getting to know you lot.

they came off a car with only 1500 miles on the clock believe it or not. However the last few yards were spent on both sides and its roof!
Bought them with brand new tyres to play about with and see what kind of finish I could get on them. Not bad for 250 notes!
I've heard about you on other forums, you're the strut brace/tow bar girl arent you?

Plenty of them have , and I'm pretty sure the link to the post where they admitted it would have been passed round plenty of other car forums just like yours was.

yea, the link to the topic was passed around two forums I frequent quite alot

clubpolo.co.uk and fordmondeo.org

Was also on multiple cruise websites and I was constantly getting linked to it on MSN. Glad to hear it hasn't put you off though Emily! we all live and learn

Glad you all like my car

oh and the roof rack, he usually has his set of mirror polished tramonts on there for show. He's removed it now though and has sprayed "YOUR 4x4 IS GAY" on his roof instead.

Theres no nice girls on here anyway mate
Going slightly back on topic, what did you do to restore the alloys. Maybe you could post a little "how to" thread - I'm sure it would be of interest. You look to have done a great job on them

Take it that the VW, Seat and Skoda lumps all share parts and are therefore interchangable come service time
Got to admit though, it's a cracking engine. Cheap servicing using dealer parts too! Last oil change cost me £22 incl new sump plug, oil and filter! Bargain!
Who cares where its assembled. I drive a German car thats built in spain and its got a czech engine. Makes perfect sense to me.
Hopefully its as reliable, cheap and lasts as long as the czech girls ey?!
