Have had it 3 weeks. Have a couple of minor problems with it but generally really pleased with it.

Re: Hello from a wet and Windy Hull

There's not many of us around and we should stick together. Safety in numbers and all that Have to admit the local skoda dealer was excellent and would recommend them to anyone

Re: Hello from a wet and Windy Hull

Yeah.. I'm not all that impressed with them second time around, got better service at the Ford dealers... so guess where my money went.

I can recommend a good local independent for servicing etc tho...

Re: Hello from a wet and Windy Hull

I am thinking about upgrading the ECU and it has been suggested that I fit an ECU from an Audi TT 2.2, which will increase the bhp to 220. Not sure what affect that would have on mpg but it would make a quick car

Re: Hello from a wet and Windy Hull

I would be interested in a independant for servicing. I noticed that local skoda garage was a tad on the expensive side especially when I'm gonna need 2 services a year.

Re: Hello from a wet and Windy Hull

hhmm... I think you'd be safer with a remap or a digital tuning box.

As for fitting the ECU from a petrol car onto a diesel lump, I'm the first to admit I don't know a great deal about cars but I wouldn't of that possible or at best even a good idea.

A remap should see you up to around 170-180 (I believe).

Yeah, the dealers quoted me £198 for my first 10k/12month service...

A and A motors quoted me £135
