| Hi everyone I bought a new Fabia vRS last week and it's great. There's only one 'problem' - where do I buy oil for it? I've found the threads on types of oil and I know it must conform to VW 505 01. The best link is: http://www.briskoda.com/forums/t2379...fabia-vrs.html However, I can't actually find anywhere selling any of these oils (Halfords, Shell, Esso, Motor World): I've come close, there's "Shell Helix Plus VA 5W-40 (fully-synthetic)" and "Castrol GTD 15W-40" but I don't these are quite right - are they? I live in North Wales, so any ideas where to go are appreciated :-) Cheers, Brian |

| Welcome Any VAG Dealer!! Dealers might not be the cheapest but they do sell handy 1 ltr bottle and I recommend you keep one to hand, as you have found it's tricky stuff to find.

| hi m8, you could try chatting to the dealer and seeing which service regime the car is under. vw group car have allowed standard and variable service intervals for a while now. the standard service intervals use the 505.01 spec oils but the variable service intervals use the 506.01 spec oils. these are v.expensive so you could try out castrol longlife oil from halfords(check spec on back of pack first) and or visit the millers oils website as these guys do diesel specific oils at reasonable prices? hope this helps, cheer's now, micmac37 Quote:
