Hi All,
Just joined after having bought a RED 04 Fabia vRS.
Intitial impressions are good although build quality of dash is not as good as my 4 year older Octavia was .
Economy is worse even if I drive slower (the Octy was a 110 slx).
However the Fabia's seats are superb, and the car is actually quieter.

Hiya.

Yes I know the Furbie's lighter than the Octy, but the engine's more powerful. More power means burning more fuel! Also "driving slower" doesn't always save fuel, if it means dropping the engine out of the "green band" where its specific fuel consumption is lowest.

Actually there's a question in itself. Has anyone ever seen SFC figures for the TDi1.9s?
