Default hello :-)

hello people, thought is start here, ive just bought my first skoda, and its a 03 octavia VRS in red, must admit it wasnt first choice, but it was within budget, and in good nick, and i must say im pleasantly suprised, goes quite well for a huge car, but im already searching for more power, which is why ive joined up here, the engine code is AUQ, ive heard about something called the ko4 hybrid, can anyone tell me a little bit more about it, and what other parts would be required to fit one to my little beast, im guessing bigger injectors and a remap will be compulsory, but will i need a different manifold/downpipe? are there any other turbos which would suit it better? thanks in advance for any help, and i look forward to meeting some fellow skoda owners in the near future!

James.

Unless you know what you're letting yourself in for, I'd just start with a remap - that might give you all the power you want without actually having to change anything mechanical. But if super-duper power is what you're after, all of the above will help - you've come to the right place!

Welcome. Go for an engine remap if you want more power. It will be one of the best £500ish you spend!!!!

Enjoy the car mate. Skoda's are an addiction! Especially the vRS Octavias!

Welcome James

As mentioned above, a Stage 1 map is usually a good place to start tuning.

We offer the p-torque stage 1 to members for £265 all in, including engine diagnostics check prior to mapping.

Power is raised to approx 210bhp

You can call us on 01902 324584 if you fancy a chat!

thanks for your reply, and to be honest the basic remap seems a bit of a waste, as ill definatly be going for more power, and will just need to get it mapped again, has anyone seen the £99 mapping on ebay, wher you post them your ecu ? any good? seems a bit dodgey not been setup on a RR, anyone had any experience with them? thanks for the warm welcome

James

Don't go for an Ebay re-map, especially one thats £99. We are fixing ECU's for guys that went down that route every week.

What sort of power are you after? We can offer anything from the stage 1 map to big turbo upgrades from backdraft motorsport
