hello !

Briskoda window stickers - some instructions would be nice !
are you meant to end up with just the letters on your window (and no background) or what ?
when I took the 'protective' paper off, two of the letters tried to stick to it
Now I have chrome 'briskoda.net' on my back window with a white background and i'm not sure if i'm meant to peel the remaining background off ?

If it's an external one the backing should be removed. YOu need to make sure the glass is spotlessly clean so the sticker sticks to the glass rather than being pulled off when you remove the backing tape.

Bugger.

Are the letters separate?

Internal one is a static cling type one with the letters printed on a clear film and a removeable card.

Ive got a chrome internal one (big one) and it was nightmare to put on. In the end i ended up getting my ruler out and spacing the letters individually, there is no backing film. Get some soapy water so you can move the letters around nicely. Good luck!

I was sober when I fitted it too

I asked for internal, and it says internal on the invoice - what arrived was the chrome letters stuck between two peices of paper. when I tried to remove the protective sheet which would leave the letters the right way round for internal application, two of the letters tried to stick to it. Now the letters are stuck to the rear window with what looks just like a scruffy bit of backing paper behind them, which doesn't want to stick to the window very well, but pulls the letters of if you try and tease it off

I'm just confused now.

Sounds like you have the same type that Martin did.

The only ones I've used have been the more normal internal type.

You need to get the backing paper off but as you stated it's pulling the letters off.

I have no ideas on what to do - sorry.

I think the woman is called Lyndsey at the vinyl store.

That's the best plan of action though I would say.

Pull the film off. Some letters will stick to the window, some to the film...you're just going to have to mess around with it until it looks right. If you spray the window with some soapy water you can move the letters around until you are happy with it, like my pic above. The small stickers come as a strip but the big ones (like i have and i think you have) are individual letters.
