Here I am doing what I am told. Hello to everyone.
I have a Skoda Octavia 20 valve 1800 Turbo Elegance 2003 Automatic. Goes like a rocket but after 75000 the smell of burnt oil is too strong and the lacal agent says I must have a carrier bag wrapped around the exhaust. After 5 months it is still there.
Also there is another problem, when reversing with full lock to turn the tail left the brake pedal locks up like there is a brick under it. Nearly hit the wall.
Slamming it into park is the only way to brake it.
Dealer cannot sort it so we won;lt be getting another of these.

Shame because otherwise its a great car.
Until we get the 100,000 mile service interval on offer, the type of car is immaterial, its the dealer that matters.

We have had terrible dealer experiences from 5 local dealers. Car always worse after an expensive service.

Hiya mate. You say you've got a smell of oil. Just wondering what the oil consumption is like, whether or not there are any leaks, and what the emissions figures are like? Oh yeah, and is the car on fixed or variable service?

Never heard of anything like your brake pedal problem before though. The only thing I can think might cause that would be if both front hydraulic lines are getting pinched, and that should be blatently obvious, if only cos of them looking clean at the pinch points! So could you let us know what the result of that one actually is please?
