| Hi! My name is Steve. I'm not a Skoda owner yet. I wanted to be, but it now looks as though I'll have to wait, thanks to Ballamy's in Shoreham. I ordered my Fabia VRS through them about 5 weeks ago. When no one contacted me I thought I'd pay a visit at my first opportunity, which was Wednasday just gone, only to find that the company has gone into receivership (nice of someone to let me know...). Nevermind the fact that my 500 quid deposit might never be seen again, I'm now left in limbo not knowing whether my factory order has been placed or not. My question to those of you with more experience of Skoda dealers than me is: would another dealer be able to check whether or not my order has been placed with Skoda and, if so, would they be willing to take on my order on the same terms as Ballamys offered me? Surely to do so would be a good little customer relations move? |

| if you paid your deposit by credit card then I believe the credit card company would be jointly liable so if in the event your order could not be fulfilled you should get your money back from the credit card company. thread from review centre/saltdean garage - item 10 "After speaking with Skoda customer services about my concerns over my car order, I can tell you the following: Yes, Saltdean stopped trading on either Friday or Saturday and they have been wiped off of the Skoda main dealer locator on the offical site. The gentleman I spoke to advised me my car will be be with me as planned but will obviously be dealt with by a different dealer and I gave all the information on the deal we had in place". so suggest you phone skoda uk customer services |
