Default Hey you lot from a Wiltshire Newbie

Was just given a 2001 Octavia Elegance by my Dad, cheers Dad!
Its done 122k and I just drove back from collecting it this afternoon.
It drove very well back from Norfolk to Wiltshire! was more comfortable than my Pug 406......and more liveley!
Its got ASR! whats that?

ASR is basically traction control, or at least an anti-skid function.

Thanks for the great welcomes! and the info about the ASR - thought it must be something like that.

Hey Octygon, looks to me like you might be a bit of a Moonraker! Devizes based?
I live on a farm between Honey Street/Alton Barnes and Lockeridge, nice and rural - good Drivers roads between here and Devizes, nice and bendy but you can see!!!!

Looking forward to reading the posts, probably posting a few and if I get the time/cash , joining in with a few things - I have just put the car on Sorn for now as it failed the MOT for rear discs and also a couple of minor things which I can get sorted - number plate bulbs, both gone (silly Daddy).

Anyone got any idea how much I should pay for the discs/pads FITTED? GSF gives £66.50 for the parts
