| Hi Everyone. I'm from Trinidad, in the West Indies. I'm a moderator on the www.trinituner.com forum. This is a Trinidad based tuning forum that encompasses tuning throughout the Caribbean. My girlfriend and I have recently acquired a Skoda Felicia that need some work. It also needs engine, g/box and axles. OEM parts are quite hard to come by here since not many of this model car sold here. Hence I am thinking of doing an engine swap. The most obvious swap (so I've been told) would be for a VW front end. However VW parts are very costly here, whereas Japanese parts are not. I'm thinking of swapping the original 1.3 (75HP) engine for one of the following: Nissan SR20DE - 2.0L, 16V Nissan SR20DET - 2.0L, 16V, Turbocharged Toyota 4EFTE - 1.3L, 16V, Turbocharged Toyota 4AGE - 1.6L, 20V Toyota 4AGZE - 1.6L, 16V, Supercharged Any advice on engine swapping would be appreciated. Hope I've not offended anyoen by proposing a hybrid project, but it's really not feasible in my location to attempt an OEM project. |

| Can't help you I'm afraid but welcome anyway! Had another trip to Antigua this year and I know the Jap cars are popular. As the sun slowly sets over the Caribbean you here the sound of a thousand dump valves from the modded MR2 Turbos ![]()
