| I bought this yesterday in Edinburgh from a Skoda dealer. I think it's possible the previous owner is on this forum but I'm not 100% sure. I collect the car in 2 weeks time. The car has 59k miles on the clock, is black and appears to be in good condition. Service history is up to date and the timing belt was changed in October this year. I've traded in my Clio 172 after 10 months of happy ownership and fingers crossed the vRS will be as good or better. Thinking about getting it remapped within the next 4-5 months. |

| Welcome to the site ![]() Pop some of the reg plate in the 'Was it You' section - see if anyone owns up to owning it before you ![]() Hope it proves to be a worthy successor to the 172 for you... Steve

| Thanks for the welcome ![]() The car had a private plate on it prior to me buying it. I've posted a thread in that section and it'll be good to find out if the previous owner is on this forum. From what I could gather he now owns a Fabia. |

| Collected it and love it The power delivery from low revs is excellent in comparison to the Clio 172 it replaces. Very impressed so far and from higher speeds it definitely feels like it'd leave the Clio behind. If it's this good at standard then I'd love to see what it's like after a remap ![]() Cruise control is great, as are the rear parking sensors. The dealership had filled the petrol tank full which was great, replaced the front tyres and all brake disks. 10/10 so far for customer service. My previous car purchases have always been from large retailers like Arnold Clark etc who are atrocious in comparison and never replace things on the car without having had them pointed out by me beforehand. Even then they usually grudge anything. |

| Tis very fast, I was actually surprised at how fast it is. Didn't think it'd feel much different than my 172 but it definitely does. Last edited by sneeks; 08-01-2007 at 22:32. |

| Go for JabbaSport remap mate. I'm at 227.1 bhp and very happy with my minor mods made so far to get that power. Love the vRS Only prob i have is i wore the clutch out but i get a Helix performance clutch and lightened and balanced flywheel fitted next week so it's all good lol. I get a few guys in Motherwell to do all the work on ma motor. Defo recommend them if ur thinking mods mate. Like that colour, makes me wish mines was black instead of boring silver...

| My VRS is with the dealer today getting some work done to it that they never had the time for before collection. As a courtesy car they have given me a Roomster, it's terrible The 1.4 engine has easily managed to remind me of how much power the VRS has. The 1.4 struggles to reach 70mph on the motorway, especially in these high winds. |

| 1.4 petrol or TD? Also it doesn't surprise me that it struggles, it is a bit like an MPV, i.e. too high and wind sensitive ![]()

| Hi matchmaker, I'm sure I may well see your car as I am in Stirling every so often, used to work there till 5 years ago. I think I'll definately use Star Performance when the time comes for the remap ![]() The Roomster is the 1.4 petrol and is very slooooooow ![]() |
