| Hi I live in Altrincham and have been driving an Octavia Ambiente 1.6fsi. I really like it and have had no problems with it so far (touch wood) I'm glad I found this site because I was wondering about the warranty. After looking at my recent service it told me it was QG1. I had tried looking in the car but the sticker must be cunningly hidden. Anyway it was unclear about what this meant. Obviously I'm not the only one to have had this trouble. Found the post on QG1 - very helpful. Also useful to know about local dealerships. Cheers Geoff ![]() |

| Welcome to the forum QG1 is 'Variable Servicing' which you've probably found out by now. Your car will 'tell' you when you are due a service on the dashboard, from 1500 miles it will count down in 100's until it's time to take the car in when you first switch the ignition on. In the front of your Service book will be a sticker with a list of codes and one of them will either be QG1 - Variable or QG2 - Fixed. There is also a useful tool which tells you the spec of your car which can be accessed here. |
