hi everyone .i have a small problem with my 2001 octavia. when i open
the drvers door the interior light does not come on, but will work on all the other doors , also the alarm that tells you that you have left your lights
on when you take the ignition key out and open door does not work.

Welcome to Briskoda. My guess would be that the driver's door microswitch is faulty. Having just had a look for a standard door microswitch on my Octavia and not found one, I seem to recall that it is part of the door lock. These aren't cheap at circa £90 for a remote lock one.
