| I have just bought a New 2.0 TDi Skoda Octavia Estate. It differs from the spec I ordered, as it has 17 inch alloys, but no spare alloy, it has a steel spare?. In the order book I thought I was getting 16 inch rims with a full alloy spare. Has anyone else come across this. The car is fantastic, and the wheels look great, so I am not complaining. Just wondering if I should have has a spare alloy, and as these are the 17'' rims maybe there have also given me the sport suspension? Thanks Alan |

| Picked up my 2.0 TDi Octavia Estate (Elegance) on Friday - I've just nipped downstairs with a tape measure. My alloys are 17" edge to edge and I have a full alloy spare. I dont have sports suspension. Hope that helps.

| Hi Alan, I know it depends on which spec the dealer ordered it in. So it'll be hit and miss with the spare being an alloy or a steely. btw, do the seats go all the way down (like the old model) or are they like the hatch, and only go most of the way down? Welcome to Briskoda!

| Thanks all, Yeah, I am going to phone them and ask why I havent got a full alloy spare. Is the ally spare a full 17'' spare as well? Also I have just found a small dent in the bonnet... gutted, but I still love the car. But the garage I bought it from is 160 miles away, so I am not keen to go drive all the way there.... so I am hopeing a local dealer may sort it? Any advice would be useful, how I should handle this one. Thanks alanr. |

| As someone has said, the 16'' alloys are standard with alloy spare, the 17''s are an upgrade with your suspension and you get a steel spare wheel instead. As for the seats they do go flat, but it's better to remove the headrests, as this will allow the driver and front passenger seat to go back a bit further. |

| Thanks to all. Yep, looks like I have the 17'' wheels but get a steel 16'' spare as apparently the 17'' doesn't fit in the well according to the garage. Now all I have to get sorted is a small bloody dent in the bonnet, when catches the light, and although I only picked it up Saturday and they are closed Sunday, they will not fix it... I can't believe I missed it, but it only shows when the sun shines directly on the car. However if I leave it it will just annoy the hell out of me. The car I great though I still can't believe some of the guys at work are still such badge snobs.... only buy BM's, and VW's or Audi's. This is as good as all of them for the money, and they were surprised when they looked at it this morning quite how good they are. |
