Smile New bloke, saying "hello"

Hi everybody! just dropping a line to say hello, have only just joined today. I own an Octavia vrs, 2001, which i have to say is a great car, i love it,but at the moment she has a very annoying problem the front suspension is "creaking" and i cant find where from i have been under the car many times and lubricated everything in sight and it still creeks. Only seems to do it when it is dry and warm havent had the problem in the winter. Has anyone else had the same problem? Many thanks.

Hi and welcome, I have a '03 and the same thing happened to me. There are plastic sleeves on the front anti roll bar and they either crack or loosen up and cause the noise as you describe. I replaced mine with the newer bar that doesn't have the plastic bits, problem solved. This may be the answer to your probs.
