good on you. Its a downside to owning a skoda - an inane grin for at least 1 year of ownership

dont go above 3500RPM and dont put yourt foot down (not that you have to to get going) for about 750-1000kms then be a little gentle for another 1000kms... And wait till it warms up too... All the obvious stuff really.

Hello and welcome !

Just wanted to voice my opinion. New cars or not, wait until the oil warms up and drive it normally - all the time. Handling them with kid gloves for 1000 miles or whatever will not help there case when you start driving it hard.

it needs bedding in properly IMO.

I battered mine from day 1 - it is up to you, but i wouldn't recomend feathering all over the place.

Thanx chaps, still unsure though, i like the sound of battering it from day 1, but think it would be best to stay on the safe side for 1000kms, if i can control the urge that is.
