| Hi, I'm new to the Forum, but think its a great site. l've recently purchased an 03 Octavia 1.9 tdi. Like many others on the site I'm struggling with a loss of power (turbo boost) at about 3000 rpm when accelerating in 3rd, 4th and 5th. The car shows no warning lights and for 1 week the problem was intermittent but now it seems permanent. Turning off and restarting does not solve the problem. Apart from this, the car runs well. Trawling through the site this morning seems to indicate that this is a common problem, but which has a number of possible causes. I'm thinking that my first option is to take it to a garage which does diagnostics. I live near Chorley in Lancashire and travel daily to Morecambe. Can anyone suggest a garage in either area who might have some experience of this problem. Thanks in advance. |
