| Re: new member Hi, I am new on here too. Picked up my 05 Octy Elegance 2.0 Tdi last Wednesday. Got the 6 speed box rather than the DSG. I am not disappointed and I don't think you will be either. Its a great car! I spent about 3 months deciding which car to get - I wanted German quality and initially was looking at VW's, Audis or BMW's. I think the Skoda is the obvious choice. I could have had a bottom of the range Golf for the money. |

| Re: new member I'm currently being messed about by All Electric garages. It was originally going to be ready last week , then saturday , then monday. I've arranged for my insurance to start on monday and the cover on my old car to stop , and also got some time off work to be able to collect it. They then phoned me on friday (the only time they rang since I'd signed the paperwork) to say that the car hasn't yet arrived at the dealership from their distribution centre 10 miles away and they couldn't tell me when it would do so. I went there today to drop the insurance certificate off so they could tax the car and they are now saying they still haven't got the car ready and don't know when it will be available for collection. I find it unbelievable that they can't phone their other site and look at a list of cars they have to PDI and ship out and see where it is in the queue. I wasn't in any particular rush to collect it and if they had said next wednesday from the start I'd have been perfectly happy but to be messed about with changing dates and vague answers is very annoying. I've now got to change my insurance again but can't do that until monday when they are supposedly going to phone me and let me know if I have a car or not and when it might arrive. The deal I got was one I was happy with but I get the distinct impression they have totally lost interest in me now I've left a deposit. I'm not impressed at all. I'm sure when I actually get the car I'll be very pleased but it's taken the shine off things quite a lot.

| Re: new member DR Z...irrespective of the cost i would be up there nose like a rat up a drain pipe,be it £1000.00 or £50.000 a customer is a customer..it sounds like this skoda dealer needs training on how to keep theres. personaly i would now give them a final delivery date and if that is missed then place a penalty on late delivery....when we bought ours the dealer started to mess about but we explained that we were not here to get out of the rain nore were we here because nothing on the t.v...we were here to deal..even then we had to make it clear we new where the door was..and where the next dealer was.from then on in everything perfect.i would now be asking for courtesy car untill things are sorted + further extras to offset my time.....haveing said that its now sunday and i still have the smile on my face....you wont be disapointed i am sure, i know the feeling gillywibble feels like i am in short pants again..chin up DR Z things will come right |
