Bash,

I'm a new name around here too!

I'm gonna be looking for a VRS in a few weeks time. Any buying tips for me?

Hope you find the forums as useful as I have done - even in a few short days.

Cheers,

T.O.B.

One tip, If you are buying new surf the net for the best deal you can find & then try the dealers in the area to see if anyone will match it. we did that & they matched it so we got the best price & local service. Im also told that buying at the end of the month is a good idea as they are all trying to hit sales targets.

Hi Stuart

Just make sure you take a close look at everything in the daylight. Ask whether the coil packs have been changed and preferably get one with a warranty. My car is 3 years old next month and I've decided to extend the warranty by another 2 years for £530 which also includes 2 years of top level AA Breakdown cover (worth £300) so its worth it for peace of mind I reckon. Check carefully the condition of the seats as they can be prone to wear especially the drivers one.

I'm very happy with my vRS and I promise you'll never regret buying one. Get black like mine, its the best colour and easier to sell on too!
