Default question?

First of all. hi!

i have a 2.0i (02) fabia.

my question is... is the engine in my car the same one as in the golf GTI mV. if so, does that gti have turbo(s) in it, and if it does is there any possibility of adding them to mine?

Hello.

The 2.0 8V in your Fabia is the same as the MKIV Golf engine. Not turbo charged from factory in any form.

The Golf GTi engine is the same as the Octavia 2 vRS one, its a 2.0 16v FSi turbo, quite different indeed.

it is possible to turbocharge this car, or any car for that matter but i'm still working on a solution. i've got a 2.0 fabia as well.

you can't really improve mpg without affecting performance. to create horespower you use petrol. fact. but if you were just after improving the mpg you could change the fuel pressure regulator for the one from the mk4 golf which operates at 2.5bars instead of 3.0bars from the fabia. the engine in the mk4 golf 2.0 is almost the same as the one in the fabia. but there are detail differences in the fuel injection systems.
