| Briskodian | RS6 to vRS Hi all I'm looking at buying a Fabia vRS (and doing a wee bit of fettling) in the next few weeks. I currently drive an RS6 so I expect it will be a different kind of experience .I'm hoping to check in more frequently when the new car is ordered and tap into the collective Briskoda brain for lots of advice but thought I'd say a quick hello anyway. ![]() Last edited by JamesB; 27-04-2005 at 00:21. |

| RS6 to Fabia...well it certainly will be different. Are you keeping the former? Sorry more interested in the RS6 than the Fabia...would be the other way around on an RS6 forum I guess ![]() Welcome to the site sir.

If everyone was like me when they saw your post they must have been gobsmacked and unable to reply. As good as the Furby is that's one hell of a change. Will be good to hear a review once your Furby is run in.

| James ( Not celebrating yet, there is still another 90 mins to go )BTW, you didnt say if you were selling the <drool on> RS6 <drool off> or adding the furby to your collection. There was a 200 BHP furby owner on here ( he sold it ) a kwik search & you will see piccys.

| James (great name btw )I'd like to help you out being the generous individual I am. To speed up the process of being an owner of the Mighty Fabia vRS, I suggest me and you do a straight swap, RS6 for vRS? If your interested drop us a PM ![]()

| Briskodian | Thanks very much, everyone Sadly, I'm selling the RS6. It's immense fun and hugely capable but I've recently moved up to London from the burbs with 2 children, 2 estates (RS6 and Mondeo) and on-street parking so the JamesB collection needed some changing. The main reasons are, in no particular order: Massive insurance hike on moving to London Lack of opportunities to use 450 bhp on my daily commute Lack of opportunities to drive it seriously that much, other than my daily commute Big fuel bills considering a lot of time is spent intraffic A small hatch is much more practical in London and possibly more fun(???) Constant worry of having it parked on the street in London If I'm honest, it's a little selfish to have 2 big cars when parking is quite tight With the money from the sale of the RS6 and the Mondeo, I can buy a mini MPV (don't bother - I've heard it all before) and the Fabia, and have plenty of change, ideally to spend on subtly 'upgrading' the Fabia. And some other reasons that I can't remember right now. Last edited by JamesB; 28-04-2005 at 23:19. |
