Sunny Patch

Hello

I have recently bought a one year old Skoda Fabia but have found it very uncomfortable to drive because of the design of the accelerator pedal.

Regardless of how I position the seat, I find the pedal too high and consequently am having to hold my foot/leg in an uncomfortable position in order to drive.

As well as the high angle of the pedal, I find it is also too far away from the interior wall of the car to enable me to rest my foot when driving.

I do not have particularly small feet!

Has anyone come across this problem and, if so, have you any advice to rectify it?

Grateful for your help.

Ask your friendly dealer if they have any suggestions.

I havent found the pedals uncomfortable ( size 8.5's), but I found I did have to adjust my foot position i.e heel for the heel/toe - accel / Brake but after a couple of attempts found a suitable position.

Good luck
Steve

This is a common problem with the Fabia. The only solution is to contact your supplying dealer and see whether he can do you a good deal on an Octavia.....

Seriously though, it's probably just a trait of the car and welcome to the site btw.

I have size 11's and this is oen of the most comfortable cars I have every had. It did take me time to get the seat distance and height correct. the rake adjustable wheel is a nice touch. As the the foot rest I find it depends on what shoes I have on. I have a VRS dont know if the adjustments are any different?
You could try an after market seat...
