Exclamation Turbo question

How do I find out if my tubo is working on my Octavia TDi 90 bhp registered in 2003.

There does not seem to be any significant increase in power or acceleration when I accelerate up to 3000 revs in either second or third gear.

Any suggestions - please

Hiya.
There wasn't an obvious "swoosh" of power from the Ambiante TDi90 hire car I had once. Saying which, it didn't feel particularly slow.
The only thing you can really do without a rolling road or a diagnostic program is drive down between walls with the windows open, and listen for the whooshing of the turbo going on and off.

Get the MAF checked out as this is one of the most common things to be at fault.
It sits in the air intake pipe after the filter & measures the amount of airflow to the engine.
